RFID strategic development manager announced

As New RFID strategic development manager at Zetes, it will be the role of Michel Du Rang to coordinate, develop and market RFID products at international level.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is now reaching maturity, opening the way to a lot of new applications which will radically transform business and processes in the whole supply chain, starting off with warehousing and distribution centers in particular.

Since many years, Zetes and its local companies have been developing in-depth RFID know-how as well as RFID projects, providing real benefits to their users.

As New RFID strategic development manager, since May 1st, it will be the role of Michel Du Rang to coordinate, develop and market these proven RFID competences as well as Zetes RFID solutions, at international level and throughout the pan-European organisation of the Zetes Group.

* About Michel Du Rang - Michel Du Rang is Engineer in Electronics and holds a degree in computer sciences.

Along a rich career in the Electronics and IT markets, he served in a series of increasingly responsible positions for multinational companies such as Texas Instruments (TI), successively as managing director for Belgium and The Netherlands, managing director of European Northwest Region for TI's Data Division and Worldwide responsible for the Airline business.

He then joined Genicom as corporate vice president and general manager International Business for Genicom's Document Solutions and Enterprising Service Solutions companies, taking charge of all the business outside the USA.

After having set up the merger between Compuprint and Genicom International, Du Rang brought its international expertise to Smartpen, a US-based company specialised in biometric authentication systems, as Group vice president and managing director Europe.

In his new position, Du Rang reports to Marcel Kars, Competence Unit manager Zetes Voice, who has now extended this management role to the RFID scope.

"At the head of Zetes Voice, Marcel Kars has very successfully promoted Voice technology and Zetes 3i V solutions (Innovate, Integrate, Improve) throughout our organisation and at customer's side".
