Zetes to open new subsidiary in Italy, starting with Voice solutions and services
A Pan-European leader in Auto-ID systems' integration with a direct presence in 8 countries, Zetes is now extending its coverage to the Italian market by opening new sales and support offices in Milan Zetes Srl will originally concentrate in voice recognition solutions and services

Zetes acquires Spanish print and apply company
To accelerate growth in the Spanish market, Zetes has acquired Powersys 2000, a Spanish company specialised in print and apply solutions and services, for a purchase price of EUR 1.8 million.
Zetes Srl is a 100% owned subsidiary of Zetes Industries.
Zetes sees many opportunities for voice recognition solutions, especially in warehouse picking solutions, since voice recognition brings both significant productivity improvement and data accuracy improvement.
To make the most of voice recognition technology, Zetes has strategically invested in an international Voice dedicated team and competence centre, Zetes 3i Voice, concentrating expertise and developing value-added solutions (Zetes 3i Voice solutions) for use throughout its entire organisation.
As a result, Zetes has taken a strong leadership in the European Voice solutions' market, with more than 90 Voice customers (such as Metro, Netto, Systeme U, Globus, Kruidvat/A.S.Watson, DHL Solutions), totalling around 160 installations and 5000 terminals.
These solutions are mainly using technology and products developed by Vocollect, the global leader in Voice-Directed Work.
Zetes has been appointed as Global Partner for Europe by Vocollect.
"Until now, Zetes was only serving the Italian market indirectly, via local partners".
"Our first objective by creating Zetes Srl is to better support these local partners and to answer the demand for Voice solutions and services of local companies as well as of multinational accounts having asked us for a local presence in Italy", says Marcel Kars, Manager of Zetes Voice and RFID competence centres.
"Furthermore, this direct presence is well in line with Vocollect's specific attention to the Italian market and its great potential, especially in Retail and Logistics sectors".
Zetes Industries puts a working capital of 100.000 euro at the disposal of its Italian subsidiary.
For the moment Zetes Srl employs 2 people, a commercial responsible and a technical responsible.
