Leading provider of award-winning application traffic management software, Zeus Technology, reveals that after a record breaking year the company is set to expand its global operations Zeus has taken the decision to expand its US operations by opening offices on the US West Coast following continued growth of its US client base with significant customer wins and the successful execution of the company's European expansion strategy that started in China, France, Germany and Japan

This sales, marketing and engineering operation will be located in Mountain View, California.

Zeus is currently seeing strong year on year growth in revenues driven in part by the expansion of the web enabled application delivery market, a term coined by Gartner, who placed Zeus Technology in the visionary segment of their magic quadrant for the sector.

Gartner reported that the worldwide application acceleration market exceeded $1.2 billion in 2005, a 36% increase over 2004.1 Paul Di Leo, CEO of Zeus Technology, said, "This is a natural step for Zeus, as we continue to increase our US customer and partner base and our presence worldwide".

"In addition to ramping up channel partner activity around the world, we have also recently forged strong OEM relationships with blue chip server, blade and application vendors." The office will be headed up by co-founder and current CTO Damian Reeves, who has over 10 years experience and proven expertise in successfully launching new products in the application delivery market, Damian will assume the role of General Manager.

"This is an exciting period of growth for Zeus and we look forward to increasing our market penetration in the US by continuing to focus on new ways to innovate and advance next-generation technologies." Comments Damian Reeves, CTO.

"Zeus is committed to delivering greater flexibility and choice to both customers and partners, and we will continue to advance research and development into Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager (ZXTM) in line with emerging trends and business needs." The Californian location has been selected to enable Zeus to further build upon recent strategic alliances to accelerate adoption of hardware virtualization technologies, blade technology and to provide security and optimization of service-oriented architectures.

Zeus is currently working with virtualization vendors to incorporate intelligent traffic management into virtualized environments.

Zeus will also seek to exploit new opportunities and vertical markets through its existing relationships with well established channel partners.

"We have a longstanding relationship with Zeus, and I believe this is a good move for the company, one which will serve to increase visibility in the US marketplace," said Terry Goodell, Division Director, INDUS Corporation.

"We look forward to working with Zeus to continue to provide successful customer solutions for mission critical Federal agency initiatives." ZXTM's unique capabilities provide organizations with centralized control and resilience for applications, ensuring swift and seamless interaction between today's web-enabled applications and evolving XML-based Web Services.

More adaptable and easier to use than anything currently available on the market, ZXTM enables both the network and applications to become more fluent and closely integrated.

In 2005, ZXTM gained significant industry recognition, winning six significant awards both in the UK and the US from IT Week, Techworld and Broadband Testing.
