Zeus Technology has announced its support of Kids Voting Hawaii, a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organisation that was established to educate school children on the American electoral process.

Zeus Technology, a leading provider of award-winning application traffic management software announced its support of Kids Voting Hawaii, a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organisation that was established to educate school children on the American electoral process Knowing beforehand that the concentrated volume of traffic in such a short amount of time could be problematic or even crash the site, Zeus and Kids Voting Hawaii collaborated to reinforce the website with ZXTM (Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager)

The software was easily downloaded and quickly installed, requiring very little in terms of staff resources or support.

ZXTM makes websites and networks faster, more reliable, more secure and easier to manage.

It is able to handle large flash floods of web traffic and during the Election period 97,508 students were able log on to "vote" from school, State Libraries, at home and at polling sites, providing a seemingly authentic experience to students.

With ZXTM, the site remained available and responsive, in spite of the severe demands placed on it.

"In the past, quickly securing data transmission and responding to large spikes in demand were difficult until we found ZXTM," said Jeff Chan of Commercial Data Systems, Systems Engineer for Kids Voting Hawaii.

"ZXTM made it possible for us to monitor our real-time performance metrics and enabled Hawaii students to securely vote, while enhancing their understanding of the electoral process and civic responsibility".

"At Zeus, we recognised immediately that we could help make Kids Voting Hawaii a successful project," said Paul Di Leo, CEO of Zeus.

"Flash floods and network traffic jams are just some of the challenges that ZXTM solves every day for businesses such as online retailers, ticket sellers and travel agencies".

"Zeus is proud to have played a part in enhancing the experience for Hawaii's voting students".
