Compact right angled gearboxes maximise
torque
Range of right angled gearboxes feature a compact bevel and helical gear design that maximises output torque from a smaller box to provide high ratios for automation systems.
The new Graessner DesignGear range of right angled gearboxes from ZF Industrial has been introduced to fulfill the custom high ratio requirements of automation system designers The compact bevel and helical gear design maximises output torque from a smaller box and ZF are able to supply units with customised shafts, flanges or mounts to fit the broadest possible range of automated production lines and conveyor systems

Gearboxes speed machining centre assembly
The key to fast deliveries on AB Marwin machining centres is ZF's two speed gearboxes, which are an essential component in this approach.
With eight standard models, offering ratios from i=15:1 to 50:1, the Graessner DesignGear range forms the ideal basis to provide custom units for machine and systems designers in automation, handling and processing industries.
Not only does the right angled range cater for the high ratios and input speeds required by the automation industry, but the units also provide the high levels of accuracy with backlash levels of <5 arcmin.
A two-stage bevel and helical gear wheel assembly enables torque outputs of up to 7500Nm to be achieved from an extremely compact, lightweight unit, giving designers greater flexibility in terms of machine space and reducing weight.
Standard and hollow input shafts are available to match the needs of all current servo motor designs, with or without a coupling.
Output assemblies can be provided in extended solid shaft types and machined with any key or spline design.
Flexibility in terms of fitting is also unlimited, with attachment bolts and plates customised to improve new designs or retrofit existing machines and conveyor systems.
DesignGear gearboxes are supported by ZF Industrial, one of the most respected manufacturers of driveline technology in the world.
ZF Industrial is part of the worldwide ZF Group of companies with production centres, partners and representatives on every continent.
In the industrial sector, ZF is at the forefront of developments, from individual units to complete systems solutions for all types of machinery and production units, including those used in robotic systems and the fast growing factory automation sector.
