Visitors to Pack Expo Las Vegas (USA) can view Zip-Pak's latest resealable products, including various new zipper technologies and applications on stand C-1904 Zip-Pak will introduce its new Slider for overwrapped packages, running live on the stand on the RT 2000, a horizontal form, fill and seal machine from Hayssen Packaging Technologies

It is claimed to be the first to enable slider zippers for products with overwrap packaging.

Zip-Pak will also showcase its Thermoform Slider for thermoformed packages of foods such as sliced meats, its Transverse-Direction Slider and the Quick-Zip Slider for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film applications.

Zip-Pak's Retort and Powder-Proof will also take the stage on stand C-1904.

By adding the convenience of re-closability to retort bags of multi-serve portions, Retort is claimed to allow consumers to protect and store unused portions of a product in its original packaging.

The Powder-Proof zipper is said to provide improved opening and closing of packages containing powders and particulates.

Its proprietary 'evacuation port' technology prevents clogged zippers and enables unused portions of products such as flour, sugar and grains to be kept fresh and secure in their original packaging.

Technical experts at the Zip-Pak stand will highlight several new zipper applications, including a resealable feature on packaging for raisins to retain moisture and freshness throughout multiple uses.

Zip-Pak will also highlight its new zipper profile for potato chip packaging, designed to open using the traditional pinch-and-pull method.

"We are continuously developing new ideas and technologies to ensure our customers can provide packaging that parallels trends in the marketplace," said Robert Hogan, director of international sales and marketing at Zip-Pak.
