The new machining stock will be sold under the tradename ZL 900-T.

Parts machined from this new material are ideal for use as bearings and bushings that require low friction performance and long wear life.

New ZL 900-T is available in diameters range from 0.75 inches to 5 inches.

Standard length of rods is 39 inches.

The material is light blue in color.

"ZL 900-T is a versatile material offering improved performance in applications where UHMW-PE is having cold flow issues," said Patrick Pheffer, President of ZL-West.

"It can also be used in place of other filled acetal where increased lubricity is needed." ZL engineering plastics offers high quality extruded and cast nylon, copolymer and homopolymer acetal, PET, Polycarbonate, PEEK, PEI and PVDF stock shapes.
